Soccer Program at Oaks

Many residents of the Oaks assembled at the Oaks small soccer field to see the highly successful inaugural games of the soccer program for young girls and boys. Two teams of boys and girls were formed (named by team members, America and Pachuca).
A number of parents came out at the scrimmage to cheer for their kids. In addition, some kids from the Hilton Head Gardens watched the game from the other side of the fence. The teams, each with seven players, will play every Sunday morning. We anticipate that eventually 3 to 4 teams will participate. NOC has provided two soccer balls and will buy jerseys for the teams. The soccer event is a good way to bring the children and parents together for fun and relaxation. Last year, NOC helped the residents set up the soccer field and purchase two goal facilities.
