The Sandbox hosted its second annual Kid's Fair on May 1, 2010, an event that allowed children and families to interact and have fun. The Sandbox is a hands-on, interactive museum filled with unique entertaining and educational play areas

for children to explore. NOC joined a number of businesses, organizations, schools, and community service agencies to tell the participants about their products and services. Three NOC Board members (Narendra Sharma, Claudia Kennedy, and Paul Wexler) and Dana Gilbert, NOC's Field Director, participated in the event. Many attendees were interested to learn about NOC's outreach programs in the neighborhoods, especially programs (such as reading, tutoring, prenatal care, and basic English) that are directed to children and women.
