Basic Computer Skills

The class offers basic skills needed to operate a computer. The course offers Individual Training‚ low student to teacher ratio and if the student has personal computer goals‚ we can accommodate. The class will focus on practical software applications commonly used in the workplace and home. The class has four areas of concentration: Windows, Internet Explorer, Electronic Communication, and Microsoft Word.
Students will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge and competence in using the computer
- Operate a personal computer and its operating system
- Use the Internet and to do common web searches
- Recognize some techniques to manage email effectively
- Manage and internal filing systems
